During
my recent participation in My Selangor Story 2013 programme, I stayed at 4
different hotels, namely Premiere Hotel (Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang),
Arenaa Stars (Kuala Lumpur), Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa (Bagan
Lalang, Sepang) and Vivatel (Kuala Lumpur). The following is my review of Premiere Hotel.
Premiere
Hotel is a 4-star business hotel that is located in a relatively new township
called Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang. The location is ideal if you’re looking for
a quiet area but would like to remain close to Klang town during your stay.
1a. The Reception
Together
with 2 other My Selangor Story 2013 (MSS2013) participants, I arrived at the
hotel early in the evening. We were the first 3 participants out of 20 to arrive. Upon our arrival, we were all immediately impressed
with the spaciousness of the hotel lobby area. It didn't take long before we started
taking photos of the lobby and its surrounding area, and it sort of set the
expectation of the room that we’re going to get for the night.
1b. The Rooms
The mattress and bed are comfortable. Linens and towels are okay. The bathroom (shower only, no bath tub) is of a good size. Hot water is available throughout the day. Toiletries are provided.
Overall the room is well furnished and comfortable and should be good for both business and leisure stay.

The hotel has a few 3-bed rooms as well as
plenty of connecting rooms, which should be popular among family guests. It
also has a wheelchair-friendly room where everything in the room, from the room
structure to furniture, has been built to accommodate a wheelchair-bound guest.
1c. Breakfast

Breakfast is served in a café on the ground floor. The café is quite small but dining area can be extended to a room next door to it. Breakfast selection is quite good. It includes local breakfast fares such as nasi lemak and fried noodles, fruit cuts, as well as a selection of cereals, breads and pastries for continental breakfast.
If you stay in one of the Executive Club rooms, you can have complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea at the Club Lounge on 18th floor, which has a nice view of the township.

1d. Internet Access
Internet
access is available for free via Wi-Fi at the hotel. Wi-Fi signal however was a
bit patchy in some areas in the room (Room 1711) but you can still get connected to
internet in the room by getting your laptop “wired”.
1e. Other Facilities
1e. Other Facilities
Apart
from restaurants, the hotel has a swimming pool as well as a fitness centre.
There is also going to be a spa opened at the hotel but it was still closed at
the time of our stay.
2. Where to Eat
We
just stayed at the hotel overnight and didn't get the chance to explore the
surrounding area. The hotel has 3 in-house restaurants. If you'd like to stock up on some snacks and drinks, there’s a Tesco just a few minutes’ walk
from the hotel. AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre is also not that far from the
hotel.
3. Getting Around
Being
in Bandar Bukit Tinggi area means that Premiere Hotel is well located and
connected with good roads and highways. This is good if you have your own
transport to get around. If you however don’t, your only options would be
either by bus or taxi. The closest train station to the hotel would be Klang
Train Station from where you’d still have to take either a taxi or a bus to the
hotel.

A Thank You & Disclosure
I would like to thank Tourism Selangor and the organiser for My Selangor Story as well as the management of Premiere Hotel for the arrangement to stay at the hotel. The stay was sponsored as part of My Selangor Story 2013 programme. The sponsorship however has in no way affected my review of the hotel.

This hotel is so near to my house and still you couldn't have called and tell you were in town... Huhhhhhhh... *cekak pingang* HAHA
ReplyDeleteAnd btw the way, naik bus nak ke Hotel ni memang ada, cityliner warna merah yang selalu pack dengan warga asing.
Disarankan kepada pengunjung silalah naik taxi.
Haha! Sorry but I think Shah Alam would be closer to you now that you live in Shah Alam. I suppose it would be the same bus that goes to Teluk?
DeleteShah Alam and Klang is kot so far away laa.. Next time dtg klang lagi sila singgah Telok. Surely ayah nak dengar cerita uncle merantau sana sini.
DeleteIt's true that Klang and Shah Alam is not that far away but Telok? That's another story ;-D Will try to go there one of these days, insha Allah :-)
