Oman: A Postcard from Muscat

This is just another postcard entry as I'm currently travelling for a few days :-)

The area shown in the postcard is called Muttrah, which used to be the main commercial centre in Muscat before discovery of oil. Cruise liners heading to Muscat would dock at a nearby port in this area. One of the main landmarks in Muttrah is Souq Muttrah (Muttrah Market), which could be the oldest souq in the Arab world. Today however, Souq Muttrah is a rather relatively modern souq with some traditional elements in its structure.
