The postcard shows the Temple of Poseidon, built some 2400 years ago. Located in Cape Sounion, the southernmost tip of the Attica peninsula in Greece, it makes a good destination for a half-day trip from Athens.
I just wish I had the time and money to go out of the continent. Insyallah one day. One day I will. Of all the blogs I've read yours are among the ones I love to see. Keep on posting
Hi, Time Traveller Boy! The Greeks and the Romans tended to build similar temple for each of their deities and since they had plenty of deities, there're plenty of somewhat similar temples around the land of their former empires :-)
