I was queuing at a Starbucks one afternoon in Istanbul, Turkey, when a Caucasian girl came up to me from behind...
Girl: | Excuse me, are you from Toronto? |
Me: | Me? Toronto? Err... no... what makes you think I'm from there? |
Girl: |
Oh! I just thought you are... because of the bag *pointing to my plain Crumpler messenger bag*
*She then turned around and left*
|
Me: | *confused look* |

Until today I have no idea what actually happened. It crossed my mind that it could have been a ruse to distract me from something but I'm not sure what. It could also have been a bet made between the girl and her friend(s) but I think she was alone. My friends however, when I related the story to them, are almost unanimous in saying that it's a pick up line. What? A pick up line? Really?? Are you serious?? *facepalm*
Have you ever experienced something which you couldn't really make heads or tails of while travelling? (And if the above was really a pick up line) have you ever received a bad pick up line? Or maybe the best ever? Care to share?

ReplyDeleteHahaha! Tronoh! Ada possibility tu! ;-)
DeleteHmmm... i'm not so sure whether it's the best pick up line or vice versa...ha..ha.. Anyway, did it work?
ReplyDeleteI don't really care about the pick up line. Kalau dia tunggu, boleh je borak2, heheh ;-)
Deletea bit facepalm for this pick-up line though..hahaha
ReplyDeleteI know, right? That's why I still cannot believe that it could actually be a pick up line :-)
DeleteYou should ask "What is this abut (about in Canadian slang)?" ;)
